You've heard of red velvet...well these were green velvet made just for fun on St. Patty's Day. Yummy with cream cheese buttercream!
Aren't these groovy?? Couldn't wait to use them. Inside was a heavenly lemon buttermilk cupcake, made with real lemon juice and zest, buttermilk, instant lemon pudding and lemon yogurt (can you say MOIST) the topping was a lemony cheesecake concoction that knocked everyones socks off...YUM!!
These were heavenly. Doctored lime cupcakes made with fresh lime and lime zest , cheesecake instant pudding and covered with a margarita ganache that packed a punch! Wow!!!!
fondant flowers - lime and lemon cupcakes. These were for my church fiesta and they started with a single flower that I had left over from some other cakes and then I just started adding and adding...!
Pretty simple. Fondant wheels and hardware. Skull was a little tricker; cut out of fondant and handpainted.

This was for a women's tea. I used a styrofoam ball for the teapot base and covered it with fondant, but I couldn't get it smooth so I covered it right over with buttercream! Fondant handle, spout, lid and flowers.

This was a PIA cake. Wings are cardboard. Lots of dowels holding this baby together! Whatever happend to Mickey Mouse?
Glamour girl theme with fondant makeup. Painted candles with clear gel and dipped into black sugar for special effect.
This cake represented her birthday gift and trip to Lego Land. Computer screen is styrofoam; I glued two wooden dowels at the bottom to insert into the cake and glued with extra icing. Fondant keypad (can you say labor intensive!). Used other half of 1/4 sheet to make the large Lego cakes with cupcake bottom for tops. Problems: icing bubbled on the styrofoam; tips? Little girl loved it and the matching Lego cupcakes to go with it.
Surfboard cake made to match their sons custom board. All buttercream with chocolate seashells and crushed cookie sand. Iced purchased candles with clear gel and dipped in crumbs for cute effect.
Simple (too simple for me). All buttercream. I like the way the border came out wasn't too sure if it would work in bc.
These were so fun to make. I used corsage boxes. Oh and fondant eyeballs and noses and real cookie cookies..lol!
Had to raid the local gumball machines for 24 plastic spaceship domes :) Fondant alien heads and m&m lights...really fun to make and I loved the effect...so did my customer :)
I can finally post this one in the most fitting category...at least the kids loved it ha ha! : )

A first for me, all in buttercream with fondant straps and accents. Shoes were a labor of love but came out too cute.
Here are the matching cupcakes, thanks again to a fellow CC member for the inspiration. Couldn't find clear plastice eggs so my daughter and I had to raid the local gumball machine for the alien domes ;)
