Gingerbread House
This was my first gingerbread house in Florida! And boy did the humidity wreak havoc on it! Things did not dry, gingerbread slumped, etc. Anyway, I did this for a coffee house event at our church. The "baked goods" in the window are made of gumpaste - the mini gingerbread houses are caramels with gum for the roof. This was a challenge, but fun!!!

Half N Half Cake
This was for a lady who wanted half of the cake chocolate and half white - the adults wanted chocolate, but the kids wouldn't eat it, so they had to have vanilla - right down to the frosting! So I had to come up with a way to make half chocolate, half vanilla, and still have it come out looking pretty! It's buttercream with gumpaste roses. Thanks for looking!

Princess Castle
Just finished this one for a little girl who wanted a pink and purple castle cake . Buttercream with sugarpaste and royal icing accents. Towers are paper towel rolls with sugarpaste and ice cream cones with royal icing and sugar. I had to leave room on the tops for the Disney princesses she wants to put on the cake. I was very inspired by the castles on this site - thanks for all the great ideas!
