I made the bottom from a 3-mix square pan and the numbers were hand-carved. You can't see it very well, but there is a black ribbon around the outside of the bottom cake. I was able to keep the swirls pretty even by using a round cookie cutter for the basic outline

I used half of a ball pan to make this. I torted the cake then covered it with a thin coat of green buttercream. Then I used the grass tip and made the skirt. The poor little doll was naked and the craft store I went to didn't have any doll clothes, so she got an icing bikini top! Her lei was a stretchy bracelet that the little girl could wear after the cake was gone. This cake was a lot of fun to make and it was really easy!

Chocolate cake with buttercream icing. I tried to do a transfer but the icing was too soft, so I took a chance at drawing the picture and surprised myself by not messing it up too bad.
This was one of those I-need-a-cake-for-work-but-only-have-an-hour-and-a-half-but-someone-did-me-a-favor-and-I-can't-let-them-down-cakes. For spur of the moment it didn't turn out too bad, even if the icing was super soft and was sliding all over the place. My cake pan was empty by the end of the shift, however.
