Leon's Fishin' Birthday
This was for dh's grandpa's 73rd birthday. The top was the first sugar-free cake i had ever done (grandpa is diabetic) and the figure also my first... my first fish... first dock.. blah blah. could've ended up worse. the writing says Happy 1st Birthday Party! figure & fishies are fondant, iced in Frostin' Pride, bottom is white cake with raspberry filling, top is chocolate sugar-free cake with sugar-free icing (which tasted mostly like pudding)

Party Fuel
This was for a friend whose husband is in a local band "The HIckmans." They have a new album "you and me and the bottle makes three", and this was for his birthday. I had it carved and iced and the transfers made before i found out i had the month wrong. I was angry and didn't let the transfer soften, and it snapped in half... dang it!!

First Luster Dust/ribbon
I just got my luster dust from here. I have to do an anniversary cake in June... I used antique gold on homemade fondant. I was kinda disappointed, as it looked more brown than gold. I guess i need a few more layers of it, or need to mix it thicker to begin with... any suggestions? It was also my first time covering a square with fondant. I need practice there too.

Brush Embroidery
This is for a jewelry store wedding set display. Drove myself crazy with all the books and diff techniques to choose from. In the end I just freehanded all the flowers and leaves and vines. I thought it turned out okay, though i wish i had at least taken pictures all the way around. all that work...

Early Thanksgiving
This one is devil's food with chocolate pudding filling. I ran out of cocoa before i was done, and i ended up using hershey's chocolate syrup in my buttercream. It also had some coffee creamer in it. It was pretty yummy. I tried to do one like dreamer63512, but I don't think i pulled it off as nicely. oh well, looks like dh will have to eat another one...

Little Red
Just trying out my little pans again. I was trying to decide which border i like better... I did the regular shell with the swirl on the bottom, and the reverse shell with the swirl in the middle... what do you think? maybe there isn't enough difference to matter. iced and filled with bettercream, decorations in buttercream.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Birthday
This was my first try with fbct on a 3D surface. It was the 3D Cruiser pan, iced in bettercream, and of course the transfers were buttercream. It nearly made me cry several times as i find out that i can't pipe a straight line, and i had to give up on a few of the details that i wanted, but the birthday boy's wife loved it when i dropped it off

Longshoreman Cake
I made this cake for my father-in-law. He loves his union more than his own children. He even got an ILWU tattoo. anyway, I had to make this with no decorator bags or tips. I actually did the fbct with a small ziplock baggie. I used a larger one to do the border. I slightly misjudged the size of the top of the cake, and the transfer was a little big, so the border went under the edge.
