Look What The Stork Brought!!
Design is from the invitations for a baby shower -- and baby Gabe came 3 weeks early and was in attendance for his shower!! This is a 3/4 sheet cake, iced in a thin layer of buttercream and then covered with petit four icing. The the designs are made with chocolate clay (thanks Jenn!) . Elmo!
Well here is Elmo - at his best!! He turned out really cute - its just a shame that he fell over during transit to the b'day boy!! But it was his granny that picked up the cake (actually my sister IS his granny - LOL!!) and I warned her to keep him out of the sun and cool - but she didn't. Plus on my part I shouldn't have put the eyes and nose on and let her done that once she arrived. But she patched as best as possible and the b'day boy loved it! Thanks for looking!

Holly Leaf Wedding Cake
This bride wanted something totally different but simple. I wished she had gone with more color or at least done a colored backdrop so the white cake would have had something to constrast with. Square bottom and 4 tiers of ovals. We did end up and add some silk amarylis flowers to the bottom corners and behind the monogram to help the cake show up more - but I didn't get a picture of that!! Thanks for looking

Mizzou Baseball Groom
The groom played baseball for Mizzou through college - so his grooms cake honored that!! Another friend of the MOB took a regular Mizzou tiger patch and blinged it up with sequins and glue - took her 5 hours to complete!! But it looked great on top of the cake along with the chocolate baseball and his & her paw prints!! Thanks for looking!!

Gerber Daisy Fall Colors
This cake was for a small wedding. The grooms family was paying for the majority of it so the bride was being very frugal with the money. She ordered just the top 3 tiers for the cake - the grooms father called me and added the bottom tier at the last minute because he wanted her to have a big, nice cake for her wedding and pictures! Everybody say 'AAAHHhhhh!" Thanks for looking!

Golfing Groom
Here is a golf bag inspired grooms cake. My mom and sister, who are golfers, were my technical advisors for this cake! I think it turned out great - except the bp clubs I made 4 days ahead of time never would get firm enough to hold up, so DH quickly made me a set out of wood the morning of the wedding and I wrapped plastic wrap around the dowel rod ends to protect the cake. Thanks for looking!

Orchids & Cake
This is a 6, 10, 14 and 18 inch square wedding cake with real orchids on the cake. The topper was provided by the bride. Beautiful and simple and all white. Only problem was the a/c was not turned on in the reception area when I delivered the cake! That made the b/c and pearl luster spray very tacky and weepy. I finally brought in a fan to help dry the icing back into shape! Thanks for looking!
