Hatbox Snowman

Based on a design from talmas, here on cc. 12" square, 10", 8", and 6" rounds, all covered with MMF, with buttercream and MMF accents. Lots of firsts for me - first fondant covered square, only my second 4-tier, first attempt at a "hatbox" style cake. I'm so proud of this one, very pleased with the result - but spent waaaaay too many hours on it. This one was an all nighter!

I based this on a design by Jenn Cowin. Thanks Jenn! It's a 10", all BC, with a fondant ribbon rose and leaves. Vanilla cake with raspberry filling and Lemon-Raspberry BC. I won first place at the county fair with this cake!

Pink And Orange Daisies

10-8 round tiers, all buttercream, real ribbon, silk flowers. For a small wedding reception - the bride was going to add fresh hibiscus flowers right before displaying the cake, but I added silk flowers just for photo purposes!

10-8-6 square tiers, all buttercream. I added fresh flowers on site. My first square tiered cake!

Cmsu Graduation

11x15 sheet, all BC. Traced outline of mascot (found pic on computer), then freehanded all details.

Pink Graduation

12x18 banana cake with caramel BC. Fondant daisies and fantasy flower. Graduate is an art major and did not want the traditional graduation stuff on the cake. I had trouble making myself STOP and not keep adding things - white space is GOOD for some designs, I had to tell myself. I like how elegant it turned out.

6" and 8" iced in BC with fondant and gumpaste accents. I modified a cake design I found here on cc, and now I can't remember who to credit it to.
