Lisa's Bridal Shower
This was made for my best-friends bridal shower. I tried to match the design on the invitation. The beads on the flowers are edible, but the topper is not.
Grizzly Birthday Cake
This was a very emotional cake for me. I made it for my Grandpa on Thursday and he passed away on Sunday. We knew it was going to be his last birthday, so I wanted it to be perfect.
The monkey's are made of fondant, along with the flowers and banana's- the rest is buttercream. It was for a 2 year old little girl whose nickname is Monkey.
I made this for my best friends little girl. I love how it turned out. I added a blue feather boa around the cake board after taking the picture. Thanks for all the other Hannah cakes on here! I was a bit worried about making a Hannah cake until looking on CC. :)
I made this for our Christmas snack day at work. I made the bottom too small, but was too lazy to bake another cake. Oh well, I still like it. : )
Rubber Duckie Baby Shower
This was made for a baby shower. I copied it from others here on CC. I regret not using fondant for my bubbles because they didn't not turn out really round with buttercream.
I made this for my 13 year old cousin. She wanted a basketball cake, but I also wanted to make it girlie. 2 8-inch rounds and the Wilton 3-D round ball.
This is my second Thanksgiving Dinner cake. My mom loved the other one I did so much, she requested this one for her work luncheon. She actually made the silverware for me and they turned out so much better than the set I did myself on the other cake. (plus it saved me an hour of work!)
Over The Hill
This cake is overwhelming to me. My friend chose the colors for her mom's 50th. I think I would like it more if the teal wasn't so dark. It was my first three tiered cake and had three different flavors.
This cake was made for my Thanksgiving luncheon at work. The idea came from others seen here on CC. The placemats are ribbon and the candles are real birthday candles that I carved down into thinner pillars. Everything else on the cake is made of fondant.
I must admit I was a bit disappointed with this cake. It took me many hours to complete and the feet did not turn out like I wanted them. If I ever make this cake again I will be finding a tiny cookie cutter so they all look alike.
I made this for a chili cook-off at work. Two round, stacked cakes, covered in fondant- didn't quite achieve "black," but got close enough not to worry about it.
I made this cake for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves my dog (who constantly chases squirrels) and loves to golf. The golf accents and squirrels are made of fondant and the dog is a plastic toy. I airbrushed our initials on the top. . . hoping it looking "carved." It was a very fun cake to do.
Home base with 3-D baseball. This was the first time using the ball, and I forgot to put the dowel rods in it, so the ball turned. And it was the first time making/using a piping gel transfer.
Small oval cake, with RI daisies. My friend loves daisies and the color green. I thought the green turned out really gross, but she loved it!
Grandma's 70Th Cake
White cake, yellow butter cream. I forgot to take the picture before putting in the candles
The "field" part of the cake is made of rice crispy treats and the football is yellow with chocolate buttercream.
Dora the Explorer cake. I borrowed some of the ideas from someone here on CC. My little cousin LOVED the cake and spent a long time just sitting and staring at it.
I made this cake for my young cousin. His mother placed it in the oven to keep the little ones from getting to it while the birthday boy was at school and she forgot about it being in there and preheated the oven! oops! Needless to say, I had to make him another cake. : )
