10Th Anniversary Grace Bible Church
This cake was made for our Church's 10 year Anniversary. The four teired cake (12, 10, 8, and 6) was covered with buttercream frosting. The bottom layer was a 12" spice cake with toffee cream cheese filling. The next layer was a 10" chocolate cake with rasberry perserves. The 8" layer was a yellow cake with orange buttercream and the 6" was a white cake with chocolate buttercream. This cake was alot of work, but fun!!! I even added a fondant replica of our Pastor.

Wilton Course 1 Class 4 Roses
These are my first attempt at Wilton roses. I personally think they look more like carnations. The icing was a little to thin. I also think I wasn't putting enough pressure on the bag and not moving the nail fast enough. Anyway, I had fun and will continue to practice for my final cake.

Sister's Island & Palm Tree Birthday Cake
This cake was for my sister's 36th birthday. As a teenager she loved palm trees. She had palm tree wall paper in her bedroom and inflatable palm trees, so I thought it would be cute to take her back a few years in time. The cake is covered with fondant decorations. Palm tree is gumpaste, the design came from someone on CC. Thanks to whoever that was. I'm sorry, I forgot. The island is crushed nilla wafers, which was also from somone on CC. Fun cake, palm tree took forever though.

Wilton Course 1 Lesson 3 Cupcakes
These cupcakes were decorated with drop flowers, shell border, and icinb build up technique. These were just for fun to get some practice. Drop flowers seemed to be a bit challanging and first . But I think after doing about 100 of them, the last few came out pretty good.

Wilton Course 1 Lesson 2 Pink Ladybug Cake
This cake was my first all star tip cake. My daughter wanted me to make a pink ladybug, not a red one. I made a few mistakes. First, I forgot my white icing so the mouth and eyes are also pink. Second, I stopped icing for a little while to take care of something else and when I came back to finish I realized the icing I had already on the cake was darker than the icing that sat waiting to be used. Lesson learned.
