Chocolate Hydrangea
This cake was fun to make. She wanted something chocolate and decadent. It is a Bourbon chocolate cake covered in ganache. I used white chocolate and dark chocolate clay to make the hydrangeas. I was so excited to use my new hydrangea tools I got from Scott Clark Woolley. They were so easy and came out beautiful!

Pink And Chocolate Wedding
This cake was for my sister-in-law, and was exactly what she wanted for her wedding cake. It was chocolate cake with all butter buttercream icing and covered in fondant. The pearls are fondant also covered in super pearl luster dust. The bow was made by wiring about 3 loops and placing them around figure. The stand was the hotels, which I thought made the cake look really small. I should have used my own. I enjoyed making it and was so happy it made it through the 3 hour car ride.

Marisa's Wedding
This was my first wedding cake, and it was for a friend. I was very pleased with how it turned out. It was all white cake in a 14" 10" and 6". All the pattern going around the cake was made to resemble the brides embroidery on her dress and was made by using a stencil (not as easy as I had hoped). The flowers were gumpaste. I made the roses and leaves and the orchids were made by a local pastry chef (I was too nervous to make them). I hope you enjoy the picture!

Sweet 16
This cake was for a co-worker's daughter's suprise sweet sixteen party. The cakes are a 6" square covered in white modeling chocolate and an 8"square covered in chocolate modeling chocolate. All the pieces around the cake are fondant, gumpaste, and/or modeling chocolate. They are all her favorite things: flip flops, a SUV, her drivers license, iPOD, car keys with her coach keychain, fortune cookies, her dog (a dachshund), a coach purse, pearl necklace, high school crest, and a composition book.

Graduation
I made this cake for my husband who just graduated from OU Law school. The crest for the school has a large owl in the center, the color for law is purple and during the graduation they are hooded so that is how the owl inspired me and all the other components of the cake. EVERYTHING was done in modeling chocolate. The owl was made by carving a stryofoam ball as well as his head and then it was covered in modeling chocolate.

Hawaiian Birthday
This cake was done for a co-workers daughter who was turning 40. She grew up in Hawaii and her favorite flowers are plumeria (frangipani) white with the yellow centers. So i made a real lei out of fondant plumeria which i made by hand, one by one, about 55 of them. All the bamboo were made of MMF as well as the leaf. the sign was wilton fondant that I hand painted with diluted gel colors. The sand was a combination of graham cracker, brown sugar, and sugar in the raw.

Pink Bling
This is an 8" white cake w/ strawberry flavored BC and magenta MMF to cover. All the decorations were done in fondant including the "J". That was wilton fondant cut out using a pattern and then left to dry for several days. I painted it in Nu Silver luster and superglued real crystals on to it. The buckle also had real crystals on it. All I had to go off of was that the daughter liked pink and "bling" and that she was turning 25. So I thought this embodied that well with an element of sophistication.

Mary Engelbreit Cake For Ok Sugar Arts Show
This was one of my entries into the OK sugar arts show. It is a duplicate of my very first cake but it mini. It is a dummy cake cover in MMF with Wilton Fondant accents. I placed 2nd in my division for it and hear that it is in the Jan/Feb 07 issue of Mailbox news, which is all very exciting to me.
