This is a small cake (3 in top, and 5 in bottom) that I made for a display.
I made this cake for my daughter's Cheetah Girl 2 premier party. The top 2 layers are yellow cake with chocolate chips and the bottom 2 are dummies. I made the cheetahs out of rolled buttercream and the plaque & music notes are fondant with royal icing.
This cake ws designed around the Irish Trinity Knot. It is a fondant covered cake with a royal icing cake topper in the shape of the Trinity Knot. There are close to 100 gum paste shamrocks and 20 white gum paste roses on this cake. The sides are decorated with Trinity Knot as well. This picture includes a close up of the topper as well as the shamrocks.
I had extra red royal icing and did not know what to do with it - so I made this dummy cake.

This is a cake that I made for a baby shower - they want to go with a buggy because it would match the chocolate buggy boxes that I made for the party favors. They choose the basic pattern, I choose the two tone pink colors to compliment the chocolate boxes.
I made this cake for my nephew's 6th birthday. He loves x-men and he wanted the wolverine from the movie not the cartoon :D The plaque is a chocolate molding that was dyed black and a edible image was apply to is. The x-men logo on the cake is the same as what is used to advertise the x-men III movie.

This was a spur of the moment cake. I made this cake for my friend's daughter's 9th birthday. I baked it last night, frosted today for a party tonight. I wasn't sure what she wanted on it - only that she loves the colors pink & purple and she is very much a girly-girl liking lace & flowers. Since it was short notice and I was not sure what I was doing on the cake - I made the butterflies with BC frosting right on the cake and the flowers are just drop flowers. I just hope she likes it.
This is yellow cake with Buttercream frosting. The kids, mother, quilt, pillows & head board are made from white fondant and then painted with food tint.

I made this cake for the Birthday's in Feb. I was trying to achieve a gradiation from the green grass to the sky. There are 4 birthdays in feb that we were celebrating and 2 liked the color green and 2 liked the color blue so I thought that would be perfect.
I made this for a friend as a little thank you for helping me out with a few things. She does not eat eggs or egg products - so both the cookie and icing was made without egg and surprizingly are very tasteful, light & fluffy and the cookie does not crumble
I made this cake for the Wilton Course II class. I used a mixing bowl to help me even mold a handle out of royal icing for this cake. I even used royal icing to make a bunny to put in the basket as well. I painted eyes & ears on the bunny and birds after I had taken the pictures
This is for Wilton Course III. I went with chocolate fondant for the cake and some roses. Dark Chocolate was also molded for the darker roses. The trim was made with chocolate buttercreme
