This was my first wedding cake ever. The pearls were fondant with luster dust. I enjoyed making it but I was unable to finish and put the flowers on- better luck next time!
I got this out of the 2006 (I think) wilton yearbook. It was for a jungle themed baby shower.
I actually made this cake for the 1st place winner at a Pinewood Derby race. I used the wilton car pan for the cake.
I really liked making this cake for my best friend. I'm not a huge fan of my writing with icing, so I thought the big 'E' worked out well...
I think it turned out okay, considering I only had an hour to decorate the cakes before people came over (time mix up: ahhh!)
This was a birthday cake for my nephew. I used the wilton character pan on a round cake. The stars didnt look quite right on elmo so used the spatula. Lesson learned from this one... always use "no taste" red food coloring!
This was my first time using fondant (no one in my fmaily likes to eat fondant... just buttercream). It turned out pretty well considering. The cake it self was white and then dyed blue for a boy!
