You Light Up My Life
I only had 2 hours to make a cake for hubby for Father's Day, so I made this. We gave it to him while playing Debby Boone's "You light up my Life" in the background. It was corny, but we all had a good laugh! The lightbulb is bumpy, unfortunately I was using icing I had made for a cake the day before and it just wasn't enough to smooth the cake well after carving. Oh well!

Nursing School Graduation Cake
I made this for my friend's graduation from nursing school. I could have done so much better, but I was on the third day of a massive headache and just couldn't do my best! She still liked it though. The stethoscope broke on the way to the event, so I had to use black icing for the cords that hang down. The syringe and band aids were a lot of fun to make though!!

Another Brownie Flop
This is the second cake I've made for my daughter's Brownie troop that collapsed en-route. It was a pretty cool topsy turvey cake, my first one that I actually carved. I used too soft of a chocolate cake though and it just collapsed in on it self. The only part standing was the second tier, so at least I doweled it well! The bottom had pink and brown vertical stripes and then 3 dots of beige vertically between the stripes. My husband and I both ended up with icing all over us just getting out of the car. In my defense, (lol) one of my daughters has mono and the other sprained her ankle today, so I've been kinda preoccupied!!
