Bride's Cake With Buttercream Roses
This is the wedding cake (1 of 2) that I made for my mom's wedding. This is the reason I started taking decorating classes. I caught the "bug" after this project...I was completely hooked. There is also a photo of the groom's cake...my mom and her husband couldn't decide between 2 cakes so I made both.

Buttercream Stacked
I loved doing this cake. Our dog also loved me doing it - she got up on the table the morning of this wedding and ate about 16 of my buttercream roses off the tray they were drying on (BAD DOG!). Fortunately, I had made extra and had just enough...on the backside of the cake, the roses have a little space in between because I would have been just about 4 roses shy.

Bridal Consult Sample Cake Fondant
This is a closeup of the fondant cake. The ribbon and bow are also fondant dusted with luster dust. After tasting this cake, the groom announced that he wouldn't pay for something that tasted like that. (I was using Wilton packaged fondant. I haven't experimented with MMF yet) That was fine with me...I'm anti-fondant myself. (Again - I haven't tried MMF yet....)
