Marble cake with fondant covering. Carved into the shape of a fish. Airbrushed and hand painted details. I also added a gumpaste fish and fondant letter cut-outs. There's also a hook in the "O" in Dayton! :)
I did one of these a few years ago and had the picture in an album. Someone saw it at work and requested it for one of our co-workers. Three stacked 6" chocolate cakes with buttercream frosting.

This cake was done a year ago. Based on the Wilton cake. All buttercream and candy molds. The babies, blocks and rocking horses are the Wilton decorations and the babies are swinging on lifesavers.
Cupcakes for the same baby shower. 1M tip swirl buttercream with a striped bag for the blue color. Printed out pictures of the Backyardigans and glued them to loliipop sticks and stuck them in the cupcakes.
This was for my friend's baby shower. Her theme was the Backyardigans, but I didn't want to use the characters on the cake, so I chose a clothesline, clouds and the sun. She loved it. As you can see I had some melting problems with the fondant I used. Bottom layer was chocolate with chocolate fudge frosting filling, second layer white cake with vanilla frosting filling and the sun was rainbow chip cake. Fondant used for baby clothes and sun. Sun rays were chocolate, buttercream everywhere else.
I made this cake for Valentine's at work. I steered away from the traditional Valentine's colors (pink and red) because I really don't like them anyway.. hehe. Chocolate cake covered with MMF and decorated in chocolate buttercream. Based on Wilton design.

Requested by a co-worker for her boss. He used to box and is really into boxing, so it was perfect. He was really excited!
I made this cake for a co-workers birthday. He loves to golf, so when I got the Wilton Globe Pillar set, I thought it would be perfect for golf balls! I covered the globes with fondant and dimpled them with the end of a paintbrust. The cake is yellow will all butter buttercream. I did have a problem with melting buttercream because it's still hot here! :)
First castle cake I've ever made. I think it turned out okay.. hehe. White cake with buttercream frosting. Fondant covered wrapping paper tubes and paper towel tubes. Sugar cones for the turrets sprinkled with blue deco. sugar.

This is my version of the fish cake made by Sue_dye. It was made for a customer for her husband's birthday. They go Bass fishing every year and she thought it would be great. From what I hear, he loved it! Strawberry cake with strawberry jam filling covered in fondant and painted with food color gels.

I read about the giant roses on cupcakes, so I thought I'd try them for the bake sale at work tomorrow. I think it turned out pretty good, it's a lot of frosting though! :) Marbled cake with BC frosting.
This is a close up of the faces. They are fondant baked in the oven to make them hard and then detailed with both fondant and royal icing.
This cake was done by my mom and I. She iced the cake and I made the roses and vines. We both did the faces on the smaller cake. Yellow cake with BC frosting.

I did this cake for a co-worker who's transferring to another job. She loves Spongebob, so I thought this would be perfect. It was a white cake with vanilla pudding as the filling. I did the Spongebob as a FBCT.
