Turtle

A turtle for the conductor of my choir. He loves music, but turtles are an other fascination of him. The head and the legs were made with cereal treats. The proverb is something like: A turtle don't make progress when it sticks its neck not out.

This is my little nephew Bas, at only 6 years of age, he is a realy good surfer! Yesterday was his 7th Birthday, so I made him on the cake and he recognized himself immediately! For the sail i used the most easy way, it's made with a plastic sheet.

Giraffe

For my niece, in the Zoo she was given the possibility to soothe a giraffe and of course that beautiful animal is now her favourite! I made the head with a styropor egg but when transporting the cake i had to support the chin from falling of... Luckely i did not make the long neck.

You have to make a lot of carrots, but then the Easterbunny's can eat and swim as much as they like! In Dutch the word Easter (Paas) is almost the same as the word bunny (haas). It was not a real carrotcake, it was a spongecake filled with strawberrymousse and gardenfruitspread.
