Rocket Ship Birthday Cake
This is the rocket ship cake I did for my son's 4th Birthday party. The base is a vanilla butter cake, the middle "planet" cake is a chocolate butter, and the rocket is rice krispie treats. It's all covered in MMF...It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but I think it turned out ok. My son LOVED it!!!!

Froggie Sugar Cookies
These are the mock ups of the froggie sugar cookies that I did for a paper company who was going to give these out at the Manhattan paper show. I made 500 of these little frogs (HAND CRAMPS!!!) and then gift bagged and ribboned them. Needless to say I hated the mere sight of these frogs by the end!

Topsy Turvy Willy Wonka Cake
This was for a client who's youngest son loved the new Willy Wonka movie. So I did a topsy turvy vanilla butter cake with fluffy vanilla bean buttercream. The Golden Ticket was done in white chocolate with gold luster dust. All of the striped "tree" was also white chocolate. The river dark chocolate. The pumpkiny things was chocolate plastic. They completely flipped and LOVED it. I was really happy with the way it turned out.

50Th Anniversary Cake-Monogrammed
This was a Neapolitan cake I did for a client (12" yellow butter, 10" chocolate butter & 8" Strawberry pound) with Swiss Meringue Buttercream. It has a gilded chocolate monogram on top. The clients parents were having their 50th anniversary, and they wanted the wedding cake they didn't get to have 50 years ago. They loved it. I think it turned out ok.

Alfred E. Neuman From Mad Magazine
This was an 8" yellow butter cake with fluffy vanilla bean buttercream. It was made for a 13 year old boy who was obsessed with MAD magazine. I freehanded the face and did the bright yellow background and red "Mad" writing and trim. He loved it!! I think it turned out pretty cool!

Uga Helmet Cake
This was a groom's cake I did for a wedding in April. The groom was a HUGE UGA fan. The bride wanted something special, so I did a 3-D helmet cake. It was dark chocolate butter cake with bittersweet chocolate ganache buttercream filling and covered in MMF. I think it turned out pretty good!

My Niece's Wedding Cake
This is the wedding cake I made for my niece and her husband as their wedding gift. Their colors were green and purple (probably not my choice-but they loved it...) It looks a little crooked in this picture but it's just the angle. The cake is covered in satin vanilla bean buttercream with MMF fondant roses on top. I think it turned out pretty. Simple, but pretty.

Baby Bottom
This was inspired by cakery's baby bottom design (thanks so much for the idea btw...) They didn't know if it was a girl or boy so I used both pink and blue. I did a basket weave in the two colors on the sides-with a pink ruffle with blue dots-I think it gave it the look of a blanket to me. The client was really really happy with it. So I think it turned out pretty cute.
