Tea Party Cake
This cake was copied out of a Wilton Yearbook. They no longer sell the original candles but I found some similar ones at a party store. The accents are made from half gumpaste half mmf. The hat and bear are hand molded mmf/gumpaste. Royal icing drop flowers add a border. I had issues with the chairs and table standing up straight. I also think I would have done a quilted table cloth if I could.

Fondant Cake With Gumpaste Crown
I was inspired by pics from this site on this one. Cake is covered entirely in mmf with mmf accents. Crown is gumpaste with hard tack candy jewels. I would have made the letters on the bottom tier stand out more clearly if I had it to do over. Otherwise...fun cake. It weighed about 60 pounds I think!

Armadillo Beer Cake
Yes... I live in Texas. Red velvet cake with strawberry filling (made from two football pans). Head, arms, legs, tail from gumpaste. MMF covered body and appendages. I had to support the bottle with some popsicle sticks. I "glued" the bottle to them with melted candy. Fun cake. Only in the South.

Square, Black Wedding Cake With Silk Flowers
I had a bride who wanted to match a Ben-Israel cake she saw on tv. This is black buttercream with silk flowers. Bottom and top tiers are styrofoam. Note: Take and awl or screwdriver with you (and duct tape) if you need to insert flowers into Styrofoam. I think this cake is simply gorgeous.

Cinderella's Coach
This cake was baked in a Pyrex bowl and covered in MMF. I airbrushed the fondant with pearl dust and added the lines in ivory. The wheels and accents are all in gumpaste. I didn't know how to get the gumpaste to roll out properly as I have seen on this site in other pics (letters made of gumpaste). I couldn't get a long enough piece. Any ideas would be welcome. One wheel broke beyond repair. I would probably use an edible image to do the door next time instead of painting it on.

Stump Or Tree Trunk Cake
This Cake was copied from one I saw on weddingchannel.com. It was 4 10" round layers covered in fondant and painted by hand. The gumpate pansies were painted with luster dust and the holly was purchased gumpaste. The mushrooms were fondant as were the ladybugs. The butterflies were edible images covered in piping gel but I never could get them to dry stiff. The limb was Styrofoam covered in fondant. I am still amazed by this cake.
