Gumpaste U of M logo was on my husbands 50th birthday cake. He wanted to keep it. I took it off and dried it in silica gel, sprayed it with acrylic spray to seal then attached a foam board picture frame stand to the back. One year later it still looks the same.

I made a mold for the babie's head, arms and legs(from water, gelatin & sugar, I got the recipe from the forum but forgot from who?). Made white chocolate flesh color and poured head, arms & legs. Body is carved from white cake, covered with buttercream then fondant. Used icing colors and vodka to paint hair and face. Braclett is non-edible. The cake she sits on is white cake with a combo berry filling, buttercream & fondant. Flowers are fondant.
I made these fondant plaques for my daughter-in-laws birthday cakes. 2 Angel food rolls with raspberry filling (same as raspberry pie filling). Three will set on top of each one. Her 7 favorite things: Jig saw puzzles, raspberries, chardonnay (white wine), butterflies, humming birds and Thomas Kinkade art (the lady in purple). Painted with icing colors and luster dust.

Made these Valentine butter cookies with cinnamon icing and royal icing piped lace hearts (24) for my Grandsons school party.

My son wanted to keep the sugarpaste hand sculpted figures of his kids. I dired them for a week in silica gel then sprayed them with acrylic, printed out photos of the yard to make the background.
Batman cake that I did for my Grandson's BD and ran out of time. Didn't have time for color detail on face, lips or eyes. Next time I will make the head out of rice krispy treats and not take the extra 3 hrs. sculpting a cake for the head/face! Oh well, sometimes the clock is against me.
Dragon is made of rice krispie treats, covered with over 3000 hand cut fondant scales and luster dust. It sits on a chocolate-almond cake with vanilla-almond butter cream, covered with fondant & luster dust. The yellow fringe around face is rice paper. The only non-edible are the two yellow pipe cleaners.
Had 10 min. to make iguana and 5 min. to make the snake. My son arrived 1-1/2 hrs. early to pick it up for his nephew. I was asked to do it only 6 hrs. before it walked out the door.
Would like your opinions on this tree. I plan to refine the next one so it looks more like pine needles.

This cake is 12"x7"x6.5" the cookies that follow stand around the van. The party was at a Mexican restuarant so the theme was tacos!
