Cupcake Babies In Blankets
These cupcakes for a baby shower were done with the inspiration from the Wilton yearbook. They were flat iced with bc, and then I made fondant pillows, bc baby heads and bodies and then covered them with coloured fondant blankets. I did a coordinating 6" round cake for the top of the cupcake stand, covered in bc and then coorinating fondant buttons along the base of the cake. Although it was cute when finished, I'm not too sure I would want to eat a baby on a cupcake.

Multicoloured Cupcakes
These cupcakes were fun to do with the different colours, and it looked really nice at the hall with all the other decorations. The green and white cupcakes were just a simple buttercream swirl on top, and yellow cupcakes were flat iced (white) with bc and then a yellow bc rose with the matching green bc leaf. The cake on top was a 6" round (chocolate with peanut butter icing filling as per request for groom) bc and fondant. The yellow flowers were bc and the leaves were "pulled embrodery" piped on cake.

Hanover Is Hockeyville
Please watch Kraft Hockeyville on CBC on Tues., June 6th (8pm?) and vote for Hanover, Ontario to win! This was my effort to support hockey in the best town ever for our special "Hockeynight in Hanover" night. Over 500 people attended, and I had enough cake for 500 people (4 @ 12"x 18" sheets were also served). Took a long time, but well worth it!!!

Rice Paper Butterflies
This oval cake was covered in bc icing, with bc roses and rice paper butterflies. I printed the butterflies using edible imaging, then covered them with piping gel and let them dry. Next time I would get the edible markers and colour onto the other side as well. I found the info as to how to do this on this site. It's a unique touch for a simple cake.

Going To The Chapel
This cute cake was done for at the guest regestry table just as a cute decoration. The bride wanted it done as a false cake so that she could take it to her next reception since they were having one in Canada and another in the States. I made the mold using the Wilton "cottage" (3D) pan using rice krispies (good tip for making molds), and then covered it with royal icing. I did the stained glass in royal icing ahead of time and the steeple is cardboard covered in royal icing as well.

Atomic Betty
I love doing bc transfers!!! I only learned about a month ago how to do them thanks to all of the wonderful info here at CakeCentral. Atomic Betty is a bc transfer and the rest of the cake is also bc. I used my (clean) fingers to make impressions into the "planet" green to make it look like craters. The stars are a combination of bc tip #16, and gold dragees. The little girl loved this cake. I was very pleased with it too. The text was done using a bc transfer too.

Picket Fences
This was a 75th birthday cake, but I thought it would also make a great Mother's Day Cake. The cake is covered in bc, the pickets, bows, archway and "75" is all done in royal (colourflow technique). The tall flowers are done on broken pieces of spaghetti noodles, covered in royal icing, and then the flowers were done in bc. The posts were done in bc also. I was very happy with how this cake turned out, but next time I would have done my pickets abit thicker since you can see abit of the blue coming thru

Pink Castle
The birthday gift for my friend's daughter's 5 birthday party (Along with "Dragon" cake submitted before for her son's 7th birthday - "Knights and princess theme"). I spent so much time creating the dragon, that the castle was rushed. I would have done more detailing and done a better job if I had of planned my time better. Live and learn!

Dragon
My friend had a "Knights and Princess" theme birthday party for her 2 oldest children (ages 7 and 5). The dragon cake and castle cake was my gift to each child. Dragon is covered in fondant, and tail and arms/legs are all fondant. Thanks to everyone at CakeCentral for the inspiration for these 2 cakes!
