Vanilla cake, Buttercream icing and Color Flow Lettering.. Here is the cake I donated to the Texas Children's Choir.. :( My sister delivered this cake and she did not use the support I sent her and it cracked right down the middle.. BUT no one noticed!!! :) Everyone was amazed with the cake.. I had fun doing this.. It was suppose to have 3D light bulbs.. OMG.. this was suppose to be the cake I was going to do a tutorial on.. WELL.. 10 last night I realized I did not have any black icing.. I had to run to 2 different walmarts at 11 last night to find black gel.. SOOO needless to say, I did not have time to make step by step photos.. I had to rush this cake, being I was on it late last night and early this morning... Here is a small gift box, made from a 7" round cake pan.. I used the collar method from this site to get my cake to rise high.. So that I could have enough cake to cut the top off for the "lid" of my cake.. Colored Fondant accents to match Tinkerbell.. I was trying to make a cake to match Tinkerbell, without really using Tinkerbell herself.. I also found cute wings at a dollar store and added one to my cake and one to each cupcake.. I had alot of fun on this cake..
Chocolate Cake, Buttercream icing and MMF.. I cant believe I actually made MMF.. It was my worst nightmare a few months ago.. Wished I could have made my buttercream smoother, but it will do!
I wished I would have centered the wording better.. But it was a last min. order.. And I dont work good under pressure.. I did even though it was a last min.. It was for a friend of my nieces.. She wanted to surprise him with a cake at work.. Oh well.. I thought my frogs came out cute.. and really look a little drunk! LOL

I DID IT!!!! Thank you sooooooo much Boween for the instructions.. :( my fondant cracked on the handle.. the letters were piped with buttercream.. WOOHOO I"m so excited.. I did this for my baby sister.. cant wait to take it to her.. It's a surprise!!!
Another one of those, jump in there and try it out.. I had so much trouble with this cake.. I had no idea what I was doing.. Although the person recieved it said and I quote " OMG I have never seen a cake like this, stick in the freezer. I dont want anyone touching it".. So I guess I did pretty good!! Thanks for looking (balls and sticks were made from white chocolate and the blue "felt" is fondant as for the tassles)
Here is a cake I was practicing on.. I am trying to determine rather I wanted all the colors or brown and pink or brown and blue.. Still undecided! P.S. I used Chocolate Plastic for the flowers and dots.. Very Very hard to work with!!!
I was wanting to add fancy writing and make this more of an elegant Baby Shower cake.. Dang whipped icing did not want to act right today.. So I went with a cute cake.. The picture is the Invitation I said laminated, well more like I used a big wide clear tape to keep it from getting damaged from the icing.. I also piped butterflies on each corner of the cake..
My mom wanted me to make a cake for a co-worker who was leaving the job.. She said nothing big, something simple.. so that is what I did, simple..
Here is my "belly cake". I was so excited about trying this one out.. I had a few issues though.. I used it for a Birthday, not a shower.. Second she wanted it to be whipped icing.. I thought this was never gonna work.. Well guess what? It worked out great.. Never had any problems with this cake.. I know my cousin will enjoy this cake, she is very excited about being pregnant and so I just thought this would be perfect. I used cupcakes for the breast and half of round ball pan for belly.
This is a Martha Stewart recipe of Vanilla cupcake and buttercream icing.. YUCK! the icing is horrid! unless you like butter... The cupcake was a little to dense for me, but the taste was alright. Looks pretty though!
A real fast cake.. My friend called me at 3 to ask if I would make her mom a cake and that she needed it by 7.. SOOOO here I go making peoples wishes come true.. I charged her 5 dollars to cover cake board and box. She bought everything else I needed.. French Vanilla cake with whipped cream icing and whipped cream roses. (need more practice on those darn roses!) Ha Ha dont mind the camera date.. I never fix the date..
