My first experience with butter cream frosting on a wedding cake. The day was humid and it bagen to melt. I was sooooo afraid it was going to fall! LOL It turned out fine and everyone loved it :) I need more practice with butter cream though. I wish it were smoother.
Chocolate Bridal Shower cake. I think it looks rather odd because of the flowers sticking out so far from the cake. But it's like that because the customer had some little tea lights that she wanted between the flowers and the cake. Oh well! She was happy with it so I was happy with it. A few days later I had to make her Wedding Cake (next photo)! I was busy busy that week!
I don't even know why I am posting this cake on here. I REALLY don't like it. My customer wanted a camo covered cake with army boots on it. I had a week to get it done until she called me and said she needed it earlier. So I only had a few hours to get it done. I wanted it to look soooo much better :(

All decorations are fondant. Cake is Red Velvet with a new Cream Cheese Frosting recipe I came up with that is sooooo delicious and not too sweet!
Unfortunately I was unable to decorate this cake the way I had in mind. Half way through making the cake I had to rush my husband to the Emergency Room. They ended up keeping him overnight. By the time I returned home I only had a couple of hours to do my decorating. The cake itself is a moist yellow cake with fresh squeezed lemon curd filling and a vanilla bean buttercream frosting. Thanks for looking... I wish it were my true vision :(
Chocolate Layer Cake with Bittersweet Chocolate Frosting. Baby Shower Cake for a co-worker. She didn't mention if the baby was a boy or a girl so I tried to make it not too blue and not too pink. I hope I found the happy medium. The little baby on top and all the decorations are made of fondant. Thanks for looking!

Red Velvet Cake with White Chocolate Cream Frosting. Leprechaun and mushroom is fondant. My customer's boyfriend is Irish so she wanted an Irish Birthday Cake for him.
Customer's 12 year old daughter wanted a Cell Phone for her Birthday. Dad told her she was too young for a cell phone so he bought her a Cell Phone Cake instead. The family loved it but I don't think the Birthday girl was very impressed.
Here is a Coconut Poppy Seed Layer Cake that was ordered for a going away party. The frosting is called White Chocolate Cream which is very light and delicious. It also has fresh sliced strawberries between the layers.
Little Fisherman sitting on a tree stump is made from fondant and his little fish is a mini-bites goldfish cracker. The cake is Double Chocolate Layer Cake with Bittersweet Chocolate frosting. The grass is buttercream and the little pond is sky blue colored piping gel (my camera makes up its own colors). This cake was ordered for my customer's hubby's 60th Birthday.
Chocolate Sheet Cake with Bittersweet Chocolate Frosting and something called Chocolate Creme filled Stikko. I also have fresh strawberries in the filling and as a garnish on top. This cake was for a "Late" Anniversary. It was the only reason my customer could think of to order a cake! LOL Their anniversary was in October and it's now March! Doh!

Almost exactly like the Bridal Shower cake I recently made. The flavor is my famous Double Chocolate Layer cake with Bittersweet Chocolate frosting. I chose to do his Wedding Cake similar to the other cake because I think it has a possibility of traveling well. I have to ship this cake 3000 miles across country from Washington to Georgia. I hope it makes it!

My cake is Double Chocolate Layer cake with Bittersweet Chocolate frosting covered in fondant. I didn't have a diamond impression mat so I had to make the diamond design by hand. My thumb is still numb! LOL I hope y'all like it.
Here it is! My second wedding cake. It was pretty short notice but I think it turned out ok. All tiers are my famous Double Chocolate Layer Cake with Bittersweet Chocolate Frosting. The fondant bow on top is the first fondant bow I have ever made. That was kinda scary :) Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!

Well OK it doesn't look like a Precious Moments Figurine but it was the best I could do LOL My customer's daughter collects Precious Moments so she wanted a Precious Moments Cake. Look on the bright side... I don't think I violated any copyright laws with this one!! LOL j/k
I made this Red Velvet cake for a co-worker that is transferring departments and shifts. Tomorrow night is her last night and she requested this cake. She said that knowing she was getting one of my Red Velvet Cakes was the only thing preventing her from calling in sick on her last day!! LOL
