This was SO much fun to make for my son's 5th birthday! I baked 3 different size round cakes, and then just cut and pieced the dinosaur together. I did a crumb coat of buttercream, and then piped on all of the green. I used green candy melts for the spikes.
This cake was actually quite easy....I just baked the cake in a bread pan, and then cut and stacked the cake to make the basic structure. I froze it, and then was able to handle it easier to carve more detail in the front arond the grill and headlights. It was a huge hit with the little boy!
