I promise this is my last cake post for a while. Iv'e been real busy this week and up to my ears in buttercream. My young children are cranky from lack of attention and too much icing. This was a going away to Paris for a year for a friend. Lots of chocolate. I really wanted to eat this one. The eiffel tower is a frozen buttercream transfer.
THis is made from two buttercream transfers for each animal. I drew them myself so it was rewarding that the cake was all my own idea even though there are many cuter images out there.
This was for my mom-in-law's birthday. She likes to read a lot. It took so much time to make and nothing went right, but she loved it. I thought I might have nervous breakdown in the middle of it all. The glasses and handles are made from chocolate and the rest is cake and icing.
Hi, this was my first time posting a picture and I didn't realize you could add a comment. This was done for my step grandmothers 85th birthday. It's a frozen buttercream transfer . I'm new at cake decorating but really enjoy it. I'm a charcoal portrait artist, so doing a portrait cake was something I was really interested in doing. Nina was a young woman in this portrait, but I don't know how old.
