White cake with BC frosting and flowers. Butterflies purchased at craft store. Flowers originally cascading down side of cake, but kept falling off. Tried to do reverse shell borderbut it did not work out as I had intended!

This is the second one of these I've done, with some minor changes. It is a mini cake, 3.5" X 3.5". White cake with buttercream frosting and roses. The cake is on a candle holder, to give you an idea of the scale of the cake. Gave this to my son's Pre-K teacher and she loved it! Thanks for looking.

6" white cake with chocolate buttercream and MMF accents. Got the idea from a cake decorating book. Really enjoyed adding all of the animals on the trees. Still practicing, but am happy with the results!
Mini, 3.75" X 3.75". All buttercream. Similar to a purple mini I posted earlier this week. Unfortunately, chocolate crumbs came through to the frosting and the swiss dots (first time doing them) didn't work out. What did I do wrong? Hopefully, the 5 year old I'm giving it to will appreciate it :)

Just a practice cake..wish i'd covered the cake board! I was not pleased with this cake. Colors too washed out, basket-weave not the way I'd intended...my baby topper broke as I was putting in on so I had to improvise. I'll keep practicing!
I know its been done alot here, but I wanted to try my hand at it! 6" buttercream with fondant accents. Board is also covered in fondant but I need some work on that! I am still very much a beginner. Thanks for looking.
Still practicing with MMF. This is an 8" 2 layer cake. I've used MMF to cover cake and board. My fondant did not go on smooth all the way around so I made the twisted MMF to go around the cake. The flowers were done with brush embroidery..my first time. My husband thinks the cake looks like a hat..this was not intentional! :)
I had such high hopes for this cake! But nothing came out right. Couldn't get icing smooth (ran out of Viva, darnit!), cake is lopsided, and my first bow fell apart as I was putting it on the cake. At any rate, its a white cake with buttercream. I had intended to put fondant accents but got so fed up that I just piped dots on it.

Got this idea from a cake decorating book. My first time using (and making MMF). Almost blew up my electric mixer! Sponge cake covered in buttercream. Bed linens and mouse made from MMF. Sorry for poor picture quality..taken with camera phone.
Vanilla cake, oreo cookie filling, chocolate buttercream. Butterfly and polka dots are chocolate transfers. Put this one together quickly as a thank-you to a friend with leftover filling, frosting and transfers from my 2 tier.

First time using fondant. Ran into several problems with rolling/trimming. Measuring mat left large crease down center of fondant. I believe I rolled it out too thin, also. Enjoyed making the babies and hopefully will improve that over time. Thanks for looking!
Only my 3rd decorated cake. Made for my Grandmother for her 88th bday. Chocolate cake with oreo cream filling. Basketweave is chocolate BC. Chocolate-dipped strawberries on top! Fun to make -- I'm enjoying learning this craft!
