I did this cake for the high school band banquet this year. My brothers roped me into doing it and last years band banquet cake...both years no body would cut the cakes....grrrr.... Anywho it is is all cake and butter cream except the orange stars are fondant...They read WE LOVE OUR BAND in the stands. On the front is Go Band and music notes are all around it. This an actual replica of what our football stands somewhat look like...you can't see it but on the back of the cake it has the staircase.
I did this puppy as a holiday raffle for charity. It was cute and it was fun. The winner ate the whole cake before they left the party they said it was so good!!!!
Well folks,here it is-my first official wedding cake. This is the infamous "Serious Cake Topper Help needed" topic of mine. The cake serves 144. It is a white chocolate butter cake with buttercream icing. EVERYONE raved about it. This cake was for my husband's brother's wedding today. It is over. I'm glad. It withstood being up for over 8 hours before we were able to cut it. I am tired and have been up for over 48 hours now....No charge for it (our gift) so let me know what you would have asked for it. This is the infamous Maltese dog everyone keeps doing...but I made it a girl....This was so easy and so fun to make. Thanks to whoever posted the link on the directions for making it. It was a hit with my neices and nephew for Thanksgiving.
This was my version of my Course II cake....It was strawberry cheesecake flavored cake.....the whole room smelled good when we were decorating everyone wanted to know how I made it!!!
This is for my neice tomorrow. It's a 6 inch smash cake. Her and her sister are only two years apart, born on the same day and I get to do their party cakes!!!
Birthday cake that I hate!!!! This was the worst cake I have ever done!!! Everything went wrong with this cake. The idea I had in my head certainly didn't come out right and what came out I absolutely hate!!! If it wasn't something that HAD to be taken with me to a party, I would have chucked it out the window on the way. The icing was melting...the bottom of it burned (first cake in my new gas oven when I was used to electric) and I had to cut it off...and not to mention I ran out of airbrush propellant..
This was done for my father-in-law's birthday who is a retired Navy Chief. This was my first FBCT!!! Turned out super cool!!! I also used my airbrush for the first time to test it out on something simple....water....If you can't tell the rope border is my favorite. My husband is the one who made the picture of the anchor for me to use as the transfer. I love it lots!!! This is probably my favorite cake so far!!
Full size sheet cake. 1/2 double chocolate and 1/2 vanilla. I also made butter yellow cupcakes to match but forgot to take a picture. This cake was gone within in 45 minutes. EVERYONE loved it!!!! I like the rope border and some other details, but boy does the camera show everything you should have done differently. Ex.---the writing would have been better in purple and should have been centered...but o-well it tasted good!!!

This is my free-handed close-up of my husbands birthday cake. None of the other photos came out but this one. We watched Disney's "Cars" and that he loves Tow Mater. So that's what he got! It's all done in buttercream.
This is the most dumbest cake I have ever done. I like the overall image that I had in my mind. But somehow none of the frosting would not cooperate. I did the cake and every time I turned around the frosting kept sliding off. I even had the a/c in my house full blast.....good thing it was just a practice cake.
This cake was done for my mother-in-law. It was my first time working with MMF. It was an adaptation of the infamous Wilton gardening one.
These were some chocolate cupcakes I did for a party at work. Everybody Loved them!!!! They were buttercream decorations with cake sparkles on top!
A chocolate cake with all buttercream decorations. The bottom border gave me fits. It acted like the buttercream melted as soon as I put the color in. Hence all of the globular look. It was Wilton's Leaf green. But it still tasted great!
The words Feliz Cumpleanos Wesley say Happy Birthday Wesley...and because my brother-in-law always goes around saying it....me encanta means I'm Loving It! (In Spanish) from the Mcdonalds slogan....He laughed so hard and we finally got him back by singing Happy Birthday in Spanish....the thing is none of us know Spanish except Happy Birthday because he does it do us on our birthdays!!!! ha ha
My brother-in-law is taking Spanish so he goes around saying things all the time so it was appropriate for his birthday....see the other photo for the words on the cake....

It is pattern after the Wilton 2006 book. But rather than use the flames out of the mouth on parchment paper I did the flames out of the nose. All buttercream except the scales and the eyes are done out of royal icing.
I was playing around one night and wanted to make something with pink flowers and test out the parchment triangle theory. I just kept adding and playing around with all of the colors- as you can tell from the randomness. I found that the parchment triangles were great to kept ahold of since they were little and I could have so many different colors. The only thing I hated was having to refill or make more.
I had an hour to do this cake at last minute. Didn't have time to get detailed or make a million colors of frosting. I only used kelly green, royal blue, and orange colors. It was all done with the grass tip, 233, tip 3 and tip 16. It was fun to do. They wanted fishing and since it was a last minute they didn't care what it looked like. I wish I had crumcoated the kelly green under the grass...but they laughed and said it looked like the dirt under the grass in their yard!!!
Simple 8'' square cake...I only had three tips at the time. An 3, 18, and a 104....The logo was done freehanded...wish I had the grass tip and a number 1 tip to give it more detail...but it was fun and it only took me about 20 mins. All done with buttercream frosting.
