This was my first attempt at making a fondant figure. I watched a few tutorials and went for it. I consider myself crafty and not artistic so I wasn't sure if I could do it but, I Love her!!! I realized after I put her on the cake that her gown was a little short so I added the diploma at the last minute.
I recently seen this technique and loved it. I had total creative freedom with this cake so I gave it a try. I really like it. The couple forgot their cake topper other wise I think I would have done something on the top of this cake. Yellow cake with Raspberry & buttercream filling

I was trying out a red velvet cake recipe and decided this design was too cute so I made it for the family Easter Dinner.
This cake is based on one by jamcakes. I switched out the flowers for berries. It was yellow cake with blackberry buttercream and fresh blackberries in the filling with white chocolate panels on the sides. It was very yummy and the client loved it.

This was a very small wedding. 12 inch layer cake in chocolate with yellow cupcakes to accent.
This was for a 16th Birthday. Apparently they call her Katie Bug so The client asked for the Volkswagen "bug" to look like a ladybug. I thought it came out ok but, the recipient loved it so much that as of 3 weeks after the party she stilll hasn't cut it....lol

I know there a lot of these ghosts pictures on here but, I wanted to add this to my photo's because I really love how it came out. My neice is all about things that glitter so I added purple sugar to the bow and the shoes for her.
The lighthouse is rice cereal treats covered in fondant. The rest is all buttercream. Thanks for looking.
I seen this cake somewhere on line and just had to make it for my friend who has Flamingo's gone wild in her backyard....lol. It was key lime cake with raspberry filling and key lime buttercream. I got the recipes on CC and it was a huge hit with the everyone at the party....definitely going in my favorite recipes.
Let me start my saying I HATE square cakes.....lol This cake was for my cousins Shoe themed bridal shower. I based the design on simple, clean lines (like she requested) and her invitation. I wish I could have mastered a gumpaste pump but that didn't seem to be working out for me.
My first time making stacked book cakes. Thanks to the people who responded to the question that I posted regarding this. Your responses really helped! I was very happy with it...or course their is always room for improvement but, I still was happy with it.
Hamburger is yellow cake for the bun and chocolate for the burger with fondant & buttercream accents. Pepsi can is stacked cookies covered in fonday (which didn't come out as well as I had hoped but it looks ok). The set up is in a box lid because this was for my nephew who actually uses box lids for "tv trays" when he eats in front of the tv. He thinks it is a genius idea...lol
This was for my neices birthday who loves everything Rat Pack. My intent was to have Frank in fondant but, unfortunately the fondan was not cooperating and being that my full time job is in an accounting firm and this time of year I just ran out of time. I also don't have an airbrush machine so I did this with a stencil that I cut out and a can of Wilton spray color. It was not exactly what I had envisioned but, it came out ok.
This was one of 2 cakes made for my twin nephews birthdays. I think it looked better in person. It just didn't seem to photograph very well. Everything is buttercream except the dinosaurs. I thought those were a little above my skill level so I purchased plastic ones.
This was one of 2 cakes I made for my twin nephews.One was "Wion" King and the other was dinosaurs so there was no way to work that into one cake....lol The Lions, bird and hyenas (which were an absolute must ) are all chocolate transfers and the rest is all buttercream.

This was my first wedding cake. I didn't do the flowers. I also knew the florist and thought we were on the same page but, I really was not happy with the final outcome of the flowers. My hat is off to people that do wedding cakes all of the time. I thought it was very stressful and was convinced to do this for my best friends wedding. I also depended on someone else to take the pictures and I don't think she got a really good shot of that either. Live and learn I suppose.
Chocolate cake, white chocolate buttercream, chocolate ganache and fresh berries. This was a real crowd pleaser. YUMMY !!!
