An Odd addition. My Dad is Diabetic, and thus this year requested a "Naked cake". (Just a little powdered sugar to cover up the fact that it wanted to fall apart!) Not exactly what is usually on CC, but oh well:P

The cake I made for my husband's maternal grandmother's 80th birthday cake. *whew* (An old photo from March 2007, in the days before I had my digital camera.) a single layer 11x15 with pink borders and white basket weave on the side. The basket is a 7 3/4" ova, also covered in basket weave. Buttercream and RI flowers, color flow bird, and chocolate handle.

DH and I spent New Year's with good friends. We're all gamer geeks. So appropriately, Cthulhu (a character by H.P. Lovecraft) had to make an appearance. But of course he had to do it "Calls for Cthuhlu" (YouTube) style. O.K. I'm done being a geek for now ..LOL
