My first doll cake! I had a hard time cutting the dowels, then after sharpening them I still couldn't get them through the cake circle under doll, then it's a little lopsided. Thanks for looking.
Just a cake I made for a friend's dinner party. She wanted it to have basketweave and bunch of flowers. :-) Flowers are all made ahead in Royal icing.
Got part of the idea from the Wilton Fondant decorating book and made the cake springy looking for person's birthday. It's covered in teal fondant and the picket fence is white fondant cut out and sat out to dry. I glued them on with icing. The flowers are royal icing made in advance.
the guest of honor likes the Mary Engelbreit's theme with her flowers and style and so I made the cake to match that. The square cake is MM Fondant colored pale blue, the trim is made with fondant and I used the green Wilton writers (like a marker) for the checks. The flowers and writing all buttercream.

Here is a far away view of all of the cupcakes I made for the kids last night at my family Christmas get-together. They all sang "Happy Birthday to Jesus" and had a candle in each of them.

I got an idea off the internet of a baby's bib cake for baby shower. The girl hosting the shower loved it and I had fun making it!
these cupcakes go with the teapot bridal shower cake. Daisy's, roses and violets made ahead with royal icing.
I copied the color and photo of a little girl's beach birthday party invitation. Thanks to MaddieCakes I got the idea of how to do it with the brown sugar as sand and the fruit strips for the straps. I was happy how it came out. This is my "practice" cake for the real one due on May 6th.
I copied this off the cake in Good Housekeeping magazine but changed the bunny to two daffodil flowers. It was fun making it. I loved that I had to buy a bag of M&M's for the project and eat the rest that weren't green. :-)
This girl liked rainbow and shapes so that's what's on the cake. I had fun making it and she loved it. I used the Tupperware "Shap-o-toy" shapes to press in the cake to trace.

Racetrack cake (chocolate with vanilla buttercream icing). I made the flags myself with markers and paper. :-)
First time doing a royal icing/colorflow design in years. Could've been better (smoother) but it worked.
I worked at a place where alot of people had birthday in November so I just wrote "November" instead of all their names.
