NFSC w/ Royal Icing
This is a dummy cake I did for practice. The idea came from Mitch Turner's book Spectacular Cakes (great book!). The butterflies are royal icing.
Cross and blossoms made from gp. All of the rest is bc.
This was for a family who was finalizing the adoption of their youngest child. I was in a hurry so it didn't end up quite as well as I'd have liked but the kids liked that they were on the cake.
Chocolate ganache with gp silhouette and accents.
This is a dummy cake I tried. The red and black are a local school colors. The girl I had in mind plays the sax in marching band so I added that in. A cake by nunuk inspired this, however I have seen several others on here. I don't want to step on any toes!

My roses are a work in progress but I think they're coming along.
NFSC with RI. Some of the green dots I managed to get on the cookie before the blue icing was dry and the green seeped into the blue making it look really cool, like fabric.
This is for my best friends baby shower. It's butter cream with royal accents. The cradle is royal icing. Thanks to Emmascakes for the inspiration for the curls on the sides. This cake was a lot of fun to make. Thanks for looking!
Boy cookie bouquet. NFSC with Royal.
Buttercream with gum paste roses. This was my first attempt at the roses. I was fairly pleased with them, especially since I know all I can do is improve from here!
This is just a dummy cake. I'd never done one like this so I thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't thrilled with how it looks so I'll definitely be working on my technique. Thanks for looking!
Another view of the peacock cake. There were four feathers on the sides.
Just another picture of the carriage cookies. The finished product!

This was for a three year olds birthday. Fondant with fondant and Royal accents. The little ponies are toys that she wanted.
These cookies are NFSC with RBC. It was my first try with RBC and while I think it worked the way it was supposed to, I wasn't really a huge fan.
This was my first attempt at a RI tiara. I was so proud of myself! It broke a tiny bit on the side and I just put it back on. The piping is RI.
Cupcakes for a 6 yr olds birthday party. All buttercream. I got the idea from a photo on this site.
My first time trying to get fondant smooth. I made the black fondant using lots of Wilton color.
