Tea Party Cake
This was made for a girl's 8th birthday with the theme of a tea party. Everything is edible except for the flowers in the vase. The tea cups were not much bigger than a penny in size. I had such a great time making this cake, the birthday girl was in love with it, and so was everyone at the party. I'm really proud of this one.

Fondant Skates Cake
My first attempt at a fondant/gumpaste skate. I didnt find any templates, so I had to get creative and make my own. I made this for the little girl I babysit. It was her 7th birthday party at the ice skating rink and she loved it so much. She didnt want to eat it or let anyone touch it! haha! She kept it at her house's kitchen counter for 3 months!!! She still has it saved in a box (it had been about 8 months now!). Its is nice to be able to make someone's birthday so special!

Baby Shower Cake
I had the most horrible time with this cake. It was 89 degrees in my house, with no AC. The icing kept sliding off, had to remake it about 3 times. The horrible crumbs got in the way, it looked so dirty!!!!!!! I cried all the way through this cake! I am so glad it is done and over with!!!! I did like my fondant roses and the booties. There was so much potential.....Hopefully next time will be better :)

Tres Leches Birthday Cake
This was done for a friend's husband. Tres leches cake (three milks cake) and filled with apricot jam. Yummy!!! I am still practicing getting whipped cream smooth... It looked better in person...the flash from the camera kind of made the imperfections stand out. My writing needs work too, but practice makes perfect!

Daisy Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my sister's birthday. She loves yellow, and she also like daisies. I made her favortie recipe and she loved it! I am slowly getting better at this! This time my buttercream was fairly smoother than the last times I tried....thanks to my new buddy: the pastry comb with a smooth edge!!!! I am very pleased.

Mom's Cake
This was a small oval cake I made for my mother's birthday in 2005. The flowers are made out of royal icing. Without planning for it, the cake matched the bouquet of yellow roses we gave her and other gifts that were of the same color scheme. Talk about color coordination! LOL. This was a chocolate cake and chocolate fudge filling (a brazilian recipe she loves). This was one of my ealier cakes, I think it came out pretty cute.

Buttercream Disaster!
This was a cake made at the last minute for a small gathering for my parents' wedding anniversary. I worked long hours that day, and I didn't get to devote the time I had originally planned. On top of that, my buttercream kept melting, sliding off, and doing all sorts of weird things....so this is the design I came up with on the sides...Some crazy thing to mask the imperfections. Oh well, everyone loved it and most importantly, so did my parents. LOL. I'm really happy with the fondant roses.

Yellow Fondant Roses
This was a birthday cake for my sister. I just love yellow!!!!! I also love making roses. They are fondant, accented with real baby's breath for a realistic feel. The buttercream icing I used could have been better, but I know that practice makes perfect! The filling was apricott preserves. Everyone loved it, and I guess that's what matters, right? Too bad the picture is not as sharp as it could be though...

My First Quinceanera Cake!
This was my first quinceanera cake! I made it when I was working at a local bakery (I got to fill in for the cake decorator that day!). It might not be a perfect cake, but the customer was extremely pleased and everyone loved it. I am soooooo proud of myself! I haven't been doing this very long, I did not know I was able to pull this off. It feels great to know.
