Couple Of Grads
Both were very yummy, which is what my "customers" demand! Theron's is Chocolate, with Ganache frosting, a fruity filling, and fondant covered and decorated. Holly's is plain yellow cake, with buttercream frosting and fruity filling, fondant covered and decorated. The tassels are not eatable, since I was not able to achieve the desired look with fondant.

A Sweet Deer
Red velvet cake with red colored cream cheese frosting. The head and neck are formed rice crispy treats. Fondant covering, buttercream accents. Made for my dentist who is an avid hunter. He really loved it, even though my "antlers" were "irregular." Lol And I wish I had done a better job on the hip, it seems a bit too flat.

Rose Cake
The daughter wanted a "rose cake" for #9, this is what I came up with. The Rose is a small cake carved to a cone shape, the petals were added like making a small rose. The frosting is all buttercream, the rose took an entire batch to make! She was very happy with this cake, but when I asked if it was what she had in mind, she said, "not really."

Homemade Fondant
Never liked the taste so, fondant I avoided. Seeing a recipe for marshmallow fondant, that promised better flavor, I thought I'd give it a go. Wow, what fun. An all day adventure. I am most happy with the flavor of the actual cake, a butter cake to which I added a little Kahlua and Irish Cream. Fantastic I tell you! I put on the buttercream roses, because I need the practice.
