This is my version of one done previously by a very talented decorator-I can't do fondant-I can't sculpt anything!! I made my animals and trees out of candy molds and candy melts (thanks to cakesbaby for the candymold site!)

Just 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 yellow(my family is simple to say the least-no frufru flavors for them!) I did several edible images of various times of his life and various people in them. Brought tears to his eyes as several of them have passed (his parents, grandparents, my mom, his cousin) but meant alot to him to be able to see the pictures! It's just a thought-nothing fancy-just made with love!
Made this for DH's HR person-who called me at work at 11:30 to do for tomorrow-not bad for a "quickie". There will be a baseball on a little podium in the center between the years-she will add it tomorrow. Wish I could do numbers though!
Both tiers chocolate with traditional white buttercream icing, ribbons and pearls along the bottom border, silk flowers to match the bouquets. Critiques welcome!
Birthday cake for a little girl-roses are not the best-go figure-but I thought they would work-pretty simple cake-2 8", 2 6"-
bottom Italian Cream cake, med-brides white cake, top chocolate-surrounded with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.
3 different flavors, white chocolate icing-had to use photographers pictures-had to set up at site so couldn't use own camera!
for dh's co-workers daughters birthday...marble cakes, sugar cones on top of hollow dowels rolled in edible glitter. Hope she likes it!
Sugar cookies for the people, fondant for banner and food, buttercream on yellow cake-did this for friends church picnic raffle-brought top dollar!
9x13 base with 3 9in halves for the bassinet top-put a piece of cakeboard behind outside piece to make sure did not fall out-decorated board in basketweave to hide it-used dowels for the other pieces.

square cake-buttercream icing-"dirt" is crushed oreos-streetcones are fondant-grasstip for borders.
I found out the major points of Bob's life from his wife-took some tidbits from his co-workers and just made his road of life! Started with "IT'S A BOB-i made "BOB" by taking picture of him attaching it to a fondant body-travelling his road--he was thrilled and very appreciative-he is not the typical "retirement cake" kind of guy!
this is a "quickie" for my daughter's office birthdays-never attempted cupcake cake before so looked for a quicker way out-whatcha think? I know its very minimalistic for decoration but again, it was a "quickie"
