Kelley's Cake
This is a bridal shower I made for my cousin and his fiance. I was inspired by the many cakes in the bridal section and decided to give the wedding dress and gumpaste shoes a try. Thanks to the person who posted the tutorial and templates for the shoes! Luckily, I didn't have to BAKE the cake myself, So I just enjoyed the decorating process. The cake is chocolate with choc mousse filling. BC icing and fondant dress. Shoes and necklace are gumpaste.

Cars Birthday Cake
I won't be making this cake again any time soon. Way too many colors, way too tedious! It took me literally all day to get this thing done (although my 2 kids do slow me down). But still, character cake pans: not for me! Oh yeah...this was my first paid cake. Although the money will definitely not fairly compensate for the effort. Oh well!

Baby Shower Cake
Here's the cake with the infamous daffodils. I couldn't get the frilly part down at first, but I think I got better as I went along. Thanks to those who offered opinions. Bottom cake is choc with choc pudding/oreo filling. Belly cake is yellow cake. I figured out that adding vanilla flavored creamer to the bc siginificantly cuts down on the sweetness. Anyway....I'm glad this one's done!

Easter Cross Cake
I started making a square cake for Easter before I knew what I was going to do with it. I came across a cake similar to this in the gallery and was glad I did, since all the other Easter cakes were round or oval! Anyway, it's a chocolate cake covered in BC with RI flowers and leaves.

Phantom Of The Opera
Here's the cake that started out as a disaster, but thankfully ended up decent. It's for my daughter's 6th birthday. She's a huge Phantom fanatic. Cake is a simple yellow cake. Icing is a combo of Hershey's choc icing and the Choc syrup icing here on CC. Rose/leaves are gumpaste and the mask is white chocolate.

My Practice Pregnant Belly Cake
I saw the beautiful prego belly cakes here and committed to do one for a shower next month. Then suddenly, I got scared that maybe I couldn't pull it off, so I did a practice run today. No frills, just practicing with the fondant dress. Here's the result. Many thanks to didi5, ellyrae, and pinkpanther for their inspiration and helpful hints. (I also made the cake to celebrate my negative pregnancy test today considering I have a 6 month old!) :-)
