Basket Full Of Pansies?
This is an oval cake made for a friend's b-day. It is a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream icing. It is decorated with basket-weave and the top is filled with royal icing pansies. I'm happy with the pansies. I had one bag of lavender and one bag of yellow and a third bag with both colors (each rolled in a tube of plastic wrap).

My Little Pony Cake
The bottom layer is chocolate, the top layer is butter cake. The cupcakes are white cake with sprinkles. I used all buttercream to frost and decorate. I found the tiny flowers with the sprinkles and the ponies on the cake belong to the birthday girl. The pony things in the cupcakes are rings.

My First Purse Cake
I made this for a friend who's initials are CD. She's crazy about purses, so I think she will enjoy the cake. It's a chocolate cake and I used the CC tutorial to make it. The accents are chocolate MMF (also my first time using this). I had other accents instead of the border at the bottom, but they all cracked so badly. I found out later that using melted chocolate instead of cocoa powder may have been the problem, but I was too frustrated to start over with the accents by then.

My Parents 45Th Anniversary
The top tier is a yellow cake with cream cheese icing and the bottom tier is chocolate cake with buttercream icing. The creem cheese got very warm on the trip to my parents and started to sag. I was dissapointed it the way it looked. Any suggestions on working with cream cheese?

Cowboy Hat Cake
The cowboy hat is a chocolate cake baked in the oval pans and covered with BC and MMF. The sheet cake is 11X15 butter cake covered in BC. After several attempts on the hat band, I went back to regular fondant and my DH helped me get it rolled out ;-) The cake is for a co-workers son who is turning 7.

Happy Bunny
This is a yellow cake mix cake with store-bought icing for my son's birthday cake. I found the picture of the happy bunny and used piping gel to transfer it to the cake. This is a 10 inch heart shaped pan. If I had it to do over again, I'd use the round pan so I'd have had room for one of the Happy Bunny's lines.

Pink, Black And White
Made for my niece, who just decorated her room in pink, black and white. This is a chocolate cake iced with peanut butter fudge icing, covered with marshmallow fondant. The circles of different color and size, were cut from marshmallow fondant and attached. It was my first try with the marshmallow fondant, and while it is tasty, it is harder to roll out as thin as regular fondant. The marshmallow fondant was too rich for the cake, so in the end it was pulled off just the same.
