Barbie Fairytopia cupcake cake I made for my daughter's pre-k class to celebrate her 5th bday. It's 23 fudge chip cupcakes, iced & decorated in my butter cream. Gabby picked out the cake flavor, the fairy picture she liked, and the colors I was to use for the Fairy's wings & dress. :0)
These cakes were made for a shop-a-holic as a gift from her sister-in-law. They're both yellow cake - the one lying down is apx. 9X6" & the standing one is apx. 8X4X7". All iced in butter cream - the circles, stripes, tag & tissue paper are fondant. The handles are wire, covered in gum paste.

the bday girl & i created this cake based on ideas pulled from several cakes she liked....10", 8" & 6" white cake, filled & iced in BC....the black diamonds, dots & zebra stripes are dark chocolate MMF (tastes like tootsie rolls)....the pink & white balls are regular MMF....the #30 is cardboard i cut out and covered in MMF....the stars are GP on wire....thx for looking!
