Made this for a child's Luau Party. Strawberry cake and frosting, flowers and trees are a fondant/gumpaste mixture. Patchwork cutters for the small flowers and palm tree leaves. Turbinado sugar for the sand. This was a fun one to make.

Lemon NFSC with Lemon Glaze
18 x 24 - 1/2 vanilla, 1/2 chocolate. Edible images. Crease happened when it was transported.
Granddaughter requested this pokemon character for her birthday cake. Put several small images around the sides. She was a happy camper. I LOVE my new edible image printer!! Choc. cream cheese frosting - hard to smooth, 4 kids helping, so did good to get it done at all!

All buttercream which was quite a challenge for this type cake. The top cake imploded after I got it stacked. At least it will taste good and the husband that picked it up was happy with it.
My brother's 60th birthday. Shipping the cake to him in the disposable pan I baked it in. Has a high clear plastic lid. Will wrap in plastic wrap and just fits in one of those flat rate priority mail boxes. Fingers crossed. State he was born in and the year. Thanks to Martha from Canada for the idea!

Hope I get to do another one, since this one was a learning experience. Neck is rice krispie treats. Should have used royal icing under the fondant, as someone else said they did. I used BC. It was fun. "out of time" is the name of this kid's band. He has a white Stagg electric guitar - I came pretty close to it.

My first cake "balls". So good and well received. Made 200 cake truffles and 100 other truffles for a Open House.
Thanks to many CC members for inspiration - Birthday girl loved the cake!! WASC with raspberry filling. Had a time with my BC just wouldn't crust and stay smooth! I had made 300 truffles for the same day, so I did well to get this together!

Fondant and gumpast scroll with edible image writing and antique gold luster dust
3 layer red velvet cake with traditional red velvet filling amd cream cheese frosting. Fondant daisies and scroll. Traveled 150 miles and forgot part of my decorations, so had to come up with a plan B.
I had a stamp with flowers and an impression mat (from the clay department at HL). Had some left over cookie dough from an order, so I made these for my mother. NFSC and rolled buttercream with luster dust.
Birhtday cake for 13 year old with Hollywood Theme Pary at Stax Museum. Red Velvet cake, Buttercream with cheescake flavoring - hi ratio shortening (which always satas too soft for me. Fondant curtain and stars. Edible image picture, drama masks and clapboard. A big THANKS to sweetcakes for the inspiration.
