Superhero Cake
This is a terrible mess but a good experiment for me. It is a 3-D cake, the buildings are cake some are frosted and some are covered in fondant. I had a terrible time with the fondant and I was running out of time. The little figures are also fondant but they came out bigger than I wanted. The cakes stayed in building formation easily. I did not use dowels or any other support.

C3Po Star Wars Rice Paper
I was given the idea to use trace the image on Rice Paper and then fill in with frosting. I was told that since Rice Paper is so thin that after it was on the cake, it would disintegrate and you would be left with the image. I was also told that rice paper was tasteless. This was my first and only attempt but I can see how it might work but I think the rice paper has to be damp first. The rice paper never even softened for me. I had much better luck with Darth Vader Buttercream Transfer

Holly And Robby Hobbie
My daughter insisted I have a Holly Hobbie Birthday as she was my favorite as a little girl. How could I resist. These are Wilton pans from the 70's I got from a seller on Ebay. I did not have instructions so I did my best based on pictures I had seen of these cakes on other sites.
