Ss Feathersword
this was my 2nd attempt at a "fancy" cake for my son. i adapted the pirate ship boat from Women' Weekly cake book to the SS feathersword. i used butter icing and piped chocolate. I stencilled the anchor etc with melted chocolate and allowed to set. Unfortunately it was a really hot day (38*c) and the whole thing started giving way to the gravity. I would probably use a more solid frosting if i ever did it again.

Dragon Cake
i made this for my son's 5th b'day as he was dragon obsessed at the time .This was super easy and the kids loved it. I used other dragon cake's at cake central for inspiration and found the template to use with 2 round cakes. It's covered with 'plastic icing' with a layer of chocolate frosting underneath (YUM!) to hold it all together. I used a spoon to create the scales, wafer biscuits for the spine, Fruit roll ups for the wings (and tongue on the 2nd one i did), banana lollies for claws, marshmallows for eyes. thanks for looking ;)
