Pink Kitty
Would this kitty have looked better if it was darker pink? The little girl turning 5 wanted a pink kitty cake for her birthday (with roses). I thought light pink would be cute, but maybe the face just wasn't done as cute as it could have been. I could have given her larger, round, "cartooney" eyes, instead of trying to make it so much like a cat. Also, the lines around the mouth could have been thinner. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Hula
This was a 10" round bottom, with the "doll dress" cake on top, but I cut it down to a diameter of 8", and rounded-off the top. I put it on a board & off-set it, so part of it was off the back of the 10" cake, to give more room for "ocean & waves". This was a really fun cake, thanks for looking!

The General Lee
This was a fun, but hard/tedious cake! It's a 1/2 sheet on the bottom & the nascar cake pan on top, but shaved-away at until it's more the shape of the General Lee car. I frosted the car & then "painted" it with a wet paint brush to make it smooth - that was the tedious part, and getting the windows black, etc... I don't think it turned-out as well as it should have, but I was still pretty happy with it!

30Th Birthday
I just wanted to add this picture, because I was searching this site for an example of a 30th birthday cake for a man, and couldn't find one that I could use. Most of the cakes were for women, or were very elaborate & this cake only needed to serve 7 & also had to travel with my friend for an hour in the car.... so, I hope this helps someone in the future, to find a simple idea! =)

Mary Engelbreit Bridal Shower
This was for my cousin, I wish I could add the picture with her, since the Princess on the cake looks a lot like her, which was my goal. We wanted a Mary Engelbreit cake, but my cousin is sooo skinny! So, I wasn't sure if this figure really looked "ME"... but I thought it turned-out cute. I loved doing these flowers, which are definitely not the norm & the cherrie clusters were so fun! Thanks for looking!

Peter Rabbit
This was the first fondant figure I've ever made. I dusted him with luster dust for some color, except his eyes, which I just painted the tiniest pieces fondant with black coloring gel. Everthing else was made with buttercream, including the veggies (I'm sure you can tell). If I would have had more time, I would have given him a fondant fence, but I felt I was too new at it to really "go for it"... maybe I should have =) Thanks for looking!

Sturgeon Fish
This was a cake to honor a "sturgeon enthusiast". We think they look "prehistoric", but this one was kind of like a cute/baby sturgeon fish. It was only about 6" long. A very fun cake, decorated with buttercream & most of it painted on to smooth-out, which also gave it the "wet" look, since water was involved & then looked "wet/shiny" once it started to defrost! Thanks for looking!

Thing 1 & Thing 2
I LOVED doing this cake, because 'The Cat in the Hat' was always one of my favorites growing-up. I found an image online & cut it out, then traced it onto the buttercream with a toothpick once the frosting was able to get firm in the fridge. Flipped-over the image & traced it again, that's how I was able to get them so close, but the rest was free hand, so their faces & some parts aren't identical.

Fairy Annika
I created this cake from a photo of only had the top half of her & the wings were barely visible. So, I really liked how this one turned-out, I tried to make the wings 'transparent' by swirling-in some of the frosting from behind/under the wings. I actually got the wing shape from a butterfly on this site, & I used silver luster dust combined with "edible laquer" for the silver sparkles. It was the 1st time I'd used it & it was GREAT! & fun!! =)

Easter Egg Green
This was my 2nd Easter Egg that I did for my family. I had a lot of green frosting left-over from another cake....... so I was already part-way done before I started thinking "oh no! rotten egg!" What do you think, and be honest - it looks like a rotten egg, right? LOL... I just went with it, since it was for my own family & they just like to eat the cake anyway =)

Blue Vines
So, the vines aren't blue, but the name sounded right to me! This cake was so much fun, because the Bride & Groom only specified "vines with blue & white flowers", and then allowed me to do whatever I wanted with it! So, it was a lot of fun! Olive Green Wedding Cake!
This cake was colored after the dark olive green fabric used in the wedding decor. I tried to choose a picture that would show as much as the color scheme as possible. Opinions? It wasn't my favorite cake because of the dark color - but I did enjoy doing something other than "white"! You can view some of my other cake creations at www.OCakes.com. Thanks for looking!
