Buttercream roses and royal icing drop flowers. Made for a wedding shower for friends getting married out of state. You cant tell in the picture but the flowers were all sparkly.
This is one of the first cakes i made- before I knew how to smooth icing,obviosly! The yellow flowers in the corners are royal icing decorations bought from the store.(We lived in Germany at the time and they have wonderful decorations for cakes in the grocery stores). The pacifier and blanket are made from fondant.
This cake was inspired by Carol Deacon and a few others seen on this site. Made for my daughters 3rd birthday at Chuck E Cheese -a lady who was there approached me about making cakes for her- she is an event planner! It is butter cake with buttercream frosting and covered in mmf.
