I was really excited about the baby and the blanket. It looked so real to me. I thought you all might want to see a close up picture of the baby and blanket.
I am pretty proud of this one. The whole thing is fondant. I had a bit of a tough time with the bow but I think it turned out alright. I just wish I could figure out how to get rid of ALL the cornstarch that gets stuck to the fondant when I am shaping it. No matter how hard I try it always leaves little traces of white powder.
This is for a friends 30th birthday. They all when skydiving and I offered to make a cake to commemorate the occasion. The whole this is buttercream except the sky which is satin icing and the decorations which I bought or made. The parachute is paper mache.
