The seeweed was made from pulled sugar and the shells where hand rolled and painted fondant. Some of the shells where molded white choc.
This was my wedding cake for my daddy!! The seaweed was pulled sugar. The shells on the cake where a mixture of rolled and hand painted fondant. Some where white choc. molds and some where, white choc. freehand that I painted with food coloring. The whole cake is edible.
This cake was the hit of the party! I took the pic before the sides where fully iced.
This was my 1st time working with fondant on such a large scale cake! I was in the wedding and had to put this cake together, let me tell you I will never do that again...LOL! Everyone was very happy with the look and taste.
