This is a wedding cake that was custom made for a Medieval themed wedding. At the bride and grooms request, the bottom layer is German Chocolate with traditional German chocolate filling and Chocolate Buttercream icing. The top layer is Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese icing. The exterior decorations are made of fondant, royal icing, and buttercream icing. The entire cake is enhanced with shimmer dust to give it an iridescent glimmer.
This cake was decorated to match the home of the lady who ordered the cake and decorated with a spooky twist for a Halloween Block Party. The cake is a vanilla pound cake that was made from scratch with buttercream icing and fondant was used for the ghosts, shutters, and other decor.
This was my first attempt at the 3D house.
