This is my first wedding cake, not very happy with it at all, except for the fondant bow. Had many flaws, and it was damaged on the back side while loading in car, and I tried my best to do touch ups. But still did not cover the damage. The bride was very happy with it! This cake was a gift for a little boys 4th birthday, who is fighting cancer, and the doctors have told his family that it would be his last birthday. He likes Power Rangers, and I knew this cake would cheer him up. It was my first attempt at the 3D (Styrofoam head) sculpture. Next time I will probably use fondant to create a more "helmet" like head. Overall, I was happy with the outcome.
This was my first grooms cake. It was 14inch, iced in chocolate buttercream, chocolate covered strawberries and some tuxedo strawberries.
This was for my sons 2nd birthday. 16inch & 14inch shaped, fondant accents, bought the wiggles cake kit from Walmart, iced in buttercream. After finishing, I was pretty impressed with myself! (The balloons helped cover up where my son poked the cake to get some!!)
This was my first FBCT with fondant accents. The first one I didn't like the way the Boots came out, so I did it again. The 2nd one, Dora did not come out good, so I had to use one from each and do my best to smooth it together.
