Philly Phanatic Cake
This was for my niece's daughters first birthday which was a Phillies tailgate theme. We are a big family of Philiadelphia sports teams. 12x3 chocolate cake for the baseball field airbrushed in green. The bases are fondant and the baselines are graham crackers. Vanilla cupcakes with sugar accents. The Phanatic's body is chocolate cake and the head, arms, and hat are rice krispie. Jersey was made from fondant and the hat was covered in fondant as well. The most awesome part of the cake is the fact that inside the "cone" shaped beak is a working tounge as you can see in the second picture. The birthday girl's sister was happy to make it work. Lot's of fun making this cake :)

Winter Minnie Mouse In A Snow Globe
Baby's first birthday cake. 12" yellow cake with butter cream frosting. Fondant flowers, stripes, and snowflakes that were airbrushed with color. I used a glass bowl sprinkled with sanding sugar to give it that snow globe effect. The Minnie Mouse is just a stuffed animal that doubled for a gift to the baby. Entire cake was airbrushed with pearl sheen to give it that frosted look.

Candle Cake
Birthday cake I made for my friends 30th birthday, she loves candles so I thought this would be appropriate. 3 pillar candle cakes made from 3" vanilla cake rounds stacked and skewered through the middle to hold together. Iced in buttercream and I used colored piping gel painted on the buttercream to give the melting wax effect with a birthday candle in the center of each for lighting. I used chocolate rocks and colored m&m's for the decoration around the candle to make it look more like a candle centerpiece.

Peacock Barbie
My niece's birthday cake. White cake with buttercream frosting. I used the wonder mold pan for the dress part with an 8" layer cake underneath to get more servings. I found the barbie doll to use instead of the doll pick to make it more realistic. The cupcakes were white cake with buttercream frosting with royal accent and fondant flowers.

Nursery Rhyme Block Cake
This was the cake I did for our local fair. 3 stacked block cakes covered with fondant that have a different nursery rhyme on each one (Little Boy Blue, Humpty Dumpty, & Hey Diddle Diddle). Edible image for the picture and the words and I used fondant for the letters, dots, and flowers. I piped dots around the border of each cake. The topper was made from fondant as well to represent "4 in 20 black birds baked in a pie".

Retro Birthday Cake
Cake was for a friend of our's 16th birthday. She requested retro/70's theme. 12" & 8" square marble cakes with neon pink & green buttercream. Daisies, smile faces, star/flower shapes were make out of gumpaste. The guitars and peace plaques were images printed and mounted on fondant. I sprinkled some tie dyed butterfly sprinkles around both tiers. Frogs were made out of fondant and hand painted. The frogs spun on a motorized turntable which was a hit. I had alot of fun making this cake and the birthday girl was very pleased.

Dress On Bed Of Roses
10" round cake with buttercream frosting and "duff" roses around the entire cake in the brides colors and also accented with butterflies. Dress cake is covered with fondant and corneal lace piped on to resemble bride's dress. Cupcakes have buttercream roses w/butterfly sprinkles and i used a doily around them to give them a more elegant look. I saw that idea on cc and thought i would give it a shot, wow was it easy. Thanks to all of the inspiration here on cc, everyone loved this cake and didn't want to cut it.

My niece requested a High School Musical 2 cake for her 13th birthday. I used an edible image for the center photo and buttercream icing. Chocolate rocks are the picture border and crushed graham crackers made the sand. She loved it and so did everyone else. The music notes were made out of color flow.
