Princess Castle
JoDee loves anything princess! So this cake was for her. Bright pink and purple and super girly. towers are paper towel tubes. I stippled with buttercream and after it crusted, pushed the points down to make it like stucco. The tops of the towers are cake cones dipped in pink candy melts and a sugar cone brushed with candy melts and then rolled in pink sugar. 'darn good chocolate cake' with buttercream. There is an empty spot ontop of the cake by the center tower...meant for princess figuine

Clothesline Cake
This was for my sisters baby shower. She was having a boy, so I did a clothesline with boy clothes: hoodie jacket, cargo pants, onsies, socks...around the bottom in the grass was a stuffed teddy bear and a toy truck. The airplane at the top is a wooden cutout...wish the wire had been smaller gauge, but I flew in to do the cake and had to work with what was on hand at my parents house. banner from plane reads, "welcome baby Aiden" printed on regular paper. everything else is buttercream and fondant.

Kate's Puppy Cake
Made for my daughter's 1st birthday. One of her first words was dog, so I thought it would be cute to have one on her cake. Thanks to suewillo and michele25 for the instructions on the puppy. Couldn't have done it without you! Gumpaste details on dog, number 1, and polka dots. Everything else is buttercream on white cake.

Desert
For a little boys first birthday. They had just moved to Mexico and they came back to the states for his birthday. To pay tribute to their new home the parents wanted to have a mexican themed fiesta. The little cactus I posted earlier was his smash cake, this was for the guests. white cake, buttercream, gumpaste accents, grahamcracker/ brown sugar "sand"

Cactus
Not happy with the flower but the rest came out ok. Baked it in a small bowl I had. Made two of them and stacked them flat sides together...saved me from having to buy the sport ball pan. The spines are white sprinkles (had to hand pick them out if a jar of multicolored ones!) sand in the bottom is graham cracker/brown sugar mixture.

Lydia
This was a cake for my neice, Lydia's first birthday. Her mom wanted a pink cake with her initial on top. Was just going for girly and feminine with the flowers and swirls...didn't mean for it to look so formal. Oh well. It turned out pretty anyway. The flowers are silk. (I have zero experience with sugarwork like that!)

Baby Blocks
This was requested for a baby shower...obviously baby's name will be Jackson. They wanted it to look like the Martha Stewart baby blocks cake, only without any pink. I chose light orange...but this backfired. The orange intensified in color the longer it sat resulting in a florescent color. opps! The cakes ended up all different levels. Learned some important things if I should ever attempt this cake again! oh well. The client was happy. :)

Marriage Adventures
My brother in law asked me to do this cake as a surprise for his wife for their anniversary. He wanted all of the adventures they have had together over the years. travels, buying a house, having their first baby... They loved it! Sorry for the jumbled picture. It was the best way to show all of the scenes on the cake without uploading 8 pictures! TFL!

Diego
This is a copy of another Diego cake I saw on here. Sorry, I am not sure who it is. I will look for it and give them credit. I like how this turned out, but it looks much better in person than on camera for some reason. I wish I could have done some things different. I wanted to make fondant rocks and palm trees and plants instead of the buttercream, but the client wasn't paying me very much for the cake, so it wan't worth my time to do fondant. All in all I did what I could with it.

Graduation
This was for a guy graduating from High School. He likes volleyball, golf, travel and is attending University of Illinois in the fall... so I had to incorporate all of that into a sheet cake! Would have been easier if it was tiered. This was my first FBCT. love how it did on the logos and the 2007, but I wasn't happy with the letters for congratulations brigham. I could've done better with my foot! Oh well, live and learn! Used the Melvira smoothing method and shifted one of the 0's in 2007. oh well.
