"spiderman" Happy Birthday Matthew

As does every three year old boy.... Matt loves Spiderman. Iced with buttercream icing, the web was woven with butter cream as well. The number three and Happy Birthday Matthew were made with colorflow. I printed the image of spidey onto rice paper and set the image on fondant, forming him as he was drying. The building was done the same, using a brick pattern printed onto rice paper and added to the rectangular cake form to make the building. Pretty fun to do :-)

We Give Thanks

Happy EASTER !!! Iced in buttercream The medallions are made of fondant/gumtex mixed. Thew it together Easter morning with the help of my 16 yr old grandson. Love it when the boys get interested in helping !! :-)

"fiesta" Theme College Grad Cake

Everything on the cake is edible except the graduation girl. I cut the original mortar board off and replaced it with a sombrero., painted her hair brown to match Holly's. The marraccas, chili peppers, basket, cactus, sombreros, etc are made of gumpaste. The " F I E S T A " letters are colorflow.

Banjo Cake For Friend's 40Th Birthday

I made this cake for our band's banjo player Pam's 40 th birthday. Everyhing on the cake is edible except the banjo strings which are a gold thread. Had a few frustrating moments when I put this one together !! but was well worth the effort when it was said and done. Pam loved it.

Everything on the cake is edible except of course the candles and "Tinkerbell" Butterflies are made with rice paper, an interesting and time consuming process in getting there :-) but well worth the result.
