For a child's 11th birthday!
This was a lot of fun and very time consuming! I got the recipe from a Martha Stewart magazine. Swiss Meringue Buttercream, Lemon Cake and Lemon Curd for filling. It was for my mother-in-laws b-day. She loves anything lemon!
This was made for a housewarming party. Buttercream icing, fondant "stones", cupcake bushes. It was a lot of fun to make!
This is my first attempt at a hatbox cake! Wow was it a lot of work!! There were a lot of challenges and things that did not turn out like I wanted but overall I am pretty happy with it. I made it for my grandmothers 80th bday.
This was for twin boys' 4th birthday. They love Curious George although I'm not too sure it really looks a lot like him!
This was for my son's 13th bday. Chocolate cake carved into an airplane.
THis is actually a display cake I made for the store I work at. It's a twist on the finale cake from Course 3.
I made this for my daughter's teacher who was retiring. I got the idea from a few of the cakes shown here on cake central! Thanks for the inspiration!
This was for my daughter's 10th birthday! I used the piping gel transfer technique using a pattern I traced from a cutting board.
I made this for my son's 6th birthday! He wanted a golf cake because he was having a party at putt-putt.
