Backyardigans Tiered Cake
My first attempt at a bit of a whimsy cake style (not off-center looking, but deco). I wanted it to match the napkins and party decorations that you can buy. Covered in MMF with MMF stars on floral wire. The backyardigans were made out of colorflow.
Wheel Of "age" Cake
I got this idea from the Wilton site...just changed it slightly. Chocolate buttercream with MMF "paint drops" along the sides. The arrow is a piece of cardboard covered in MMF, hole punched in, on a dowel. The cap is a piece of fondant. It did turn, which was fun :).
50Th Birthday - Support Cake
chocolate irish creme cake covered with MMF. I saw this on the gallery here and had to do this cake for my mother!! Thanks for the great idea!
Wilton 2 Final Cake - Lots Of Flowers!
I decided to use as many of the flowers as I could! This cake was fun!
Baby Bear Blanket
Photo 2 of 2. This is the side view. The entire back of the cake was a patchwork quilt made of fondant. This helped to cover mistakes I made covering such a large cake for the first time :).
Baby Bear With Blocks On A Blanket
Photo 1 of 2. This is my first tiered and shower cake :). It is a 14" WASC covered in MMF. The bear is BC and the blocks are fondant with BC.
This is my final cake for Wilton course 1...I didn't make enough roses so a friend, jen, gave me one (hence the color difference *blush*)...the cake is a 10" coconut cake (using the extender on this site plus coconut extract) filled with the coconut filling/frosting by Donna. Yum.
