Santa & Reindeer
The picture loses some of the detail - the white wraps at the bottom are cut to look like snow drifts. It's not completely finished yet, each of the three reindeer will be holding a sign wishing someone farewell, happy birthday, etc. to people at my friend's school (my friend's idea). It's my first time trying to sculpt anything, so while they're not perfect, it was fun.

Doctor's Bag
This is a very direct copy of a Colette Peters cake. It's Appreciation Week at our ped's office and it's my turn on Tuesday to take something in for the docs/nurses/assistants/etc. This cake was a lot of firsts for me (gum-tex, carving, luster dust, etc.), so it was a little tough, but overall I'm pleased. The med. cup and the note are the only things non-edible.

Snowflakes For Bouquet
These cookies were for a cookie bouquet that was meant to be in a shiny silver bucket but they kept falling off the stinkin' skewers! It was still ok, but argh! Some of the snowflakes got a little wonky because I was trying to have no two with the same design. Next time I'll give up the goat and just do the patterns that look good!

Caramel Apple Cupcake
This is a roasted Granny Smith apple cupcake with dulce de leche cream cheese icing and chopped salted peanuts. I was completely skeptical, but it is actually divine. Next time I think I will use a half buttercream, half cream cheese icing to make it set up a bit better - it's still too hot in Florida for an all-cream cheese icing.

The Saddest Little Cake
This cake is made entirely from leftovers of other cakes this week and it shows!!! Sadly, I had big plans, but a time crunch and a lost dogbone (I think that's the name) mean the leaves are listless and the acorns look almost obscene. Ah, such is life! For what it's worth, it's pumpkin and yellow cake with a chocolate chai buttercream filling and MMF (and a whole lot of it!) covering and accents. And now, to upload this to the thread about worst cakes ever!
